Vivint gives back.
My heart is very full. I have had a very rough couple of months. But things are looking up each new day. I am grateful to be alive and have a warm house to go to every night.
I had the most amazing experience this week. Have you ever heard of sub for Santa? Well, let me tell you a little about it. It's where a large group of people go shopping for children in need and then go and deliver it to the children. On Monday I went shopping for 2 kids in third grade. On their needs list it listed the following: toothpaste, tooth brushes, alarm clock, jacket, jeans, socks and simple things like that. Today we went to their school and was Santa's little elfs. I got to sit with little kids from ages 5-13 and watch them open their gifts. The faces on some of the kids were priceless I hope that picture I took in my head never goes away. One little boy asked me if I bought these for them, I told him its from Santa and how he really does listen and watch you. He looked at me with a little smile and said Santa is a good man cara. He came and gave me a little hug and said thank you for delivering this for Santa. Another little girl gave me a thank you card. Another little boy ha tears in his eyes because he got pencils. These are just a couple little things that happened to me today.
I feel so blessed to be able to serve these little kids who have tap on their shoes holding them together. Remember during this time of the year how important it is to serve the people around us and not think about what's in it for us. You will be blessed for the service you give people.
I love the holiday season and how warm my heart feels. It's full of joy and love.
Thank you Vivint for giving me this wonderful opportunity of serving little children in the salt lake area.

Waikiki beach
When I was in elementary school jamie my oldest sister use to work at a tanning place. I use to go with her to work some nights and clean the beds for her! I LOVED IT! I loved being at work with my sisters at a young age. I loved the smell in the salon and I still do to this day. It's just a clean fresh smell! It just reminds me of the beach and that is one of my favorite places to be! I have always wanted to work at a tanning salon, but have never reallyhad an opportunity to do so. My roommate Laura has always worked at one and always had funny story's and just liked her job because it is so relaxed. When she told me how low key it is, I was ready to work! Needless to say I have been working at Waikiki beach for the past 2 weeks and I LOVE if! The girls I work with are awesome!! I love going to work!!
It's been such a huge change from my last job of me actually liking to go into work. I just feel very very blessed to be working at such a relaxing and fun job.

change, change, change.
So much change has been going on in my life lately. I really do apologize for not blogging sooner like almost a year and a half ago! Days have been passing me by so quickly. I look at my calendar thinking it should still be in august. The past almost 6 months have been wonderful, full of laughter, joy, tears & heart ache. I have learned so much about myself. I feel like the older I get the more wiser I get. Could that be? For me that is the case. I have made really great friendships that I wouldn't change. I truly believe that you learn the most from who you surround your self around. (that is if they are smart) I tend to try and surround myself around really smart people even if i don't understand the words they use... I just shake my head and smile pretending I understand (then when I get home I Google the words IF I can spell them, that is) but really.
I feel like I have so much to say, but that is only because I have been slacking on blogging.. ugh. I hate when I do this to myself. Lets start with
WORK: Yes, I have been unemployed for about a week. IT IS WONDERFUL. I can not wait for the day when I do NOT have to work. don't get me wrong I love making my own money and all but lets be real for a second. I HATED working in a office where I was the ONLY one in a warehouse all by myself. I need people around me. After many phone calls balling my eyes out to my dad and after lots of prayers to and from work even during work I made a decision to be done. I knew the big guy up stairs would direct me in the right direction. I am now the new employee at Waikiki Beach. I will only work about 2 days a week. (so come tanning) And I have a couple of interviews for a second job, and have had about a interview each day since my last day of work. I am incredibly blessed to say the least.
SCHOOL: okay, So I hope you are sitting down for this. You may pee your little pants because If you know me you know this is HUGE.. I Cara Andre'e Smith miss sitting in a class room learning. WAAAAAAAAAA WAAAAA... Yes it is true. I MISS it so bad! I can not wait to go back to school in the winter. I cant wait to be a student/ learner. I have never been one that has wanted to go to school. I always went because I thought that is just what everyone had to do. But I was wrong. You don't have to go to school. Its just good for you. I have realized all by my little self that I need to get my degree. I need to surround myself by students and learn from them and of course the professors. I will be attending UVU in the winter and I can hardly wait. I need to get a new backpack and a first day of school outfit I guess (maaamm can you help me on that one please?)
HOME: I moved out of my old apt and now live in a cute little apt. My room is adorable Once I finish it I will post pictures. You all will love it (i hope) I am sure many of you have heard the awful news.. :( it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. Well let me re say that.. its not awful news its just really sad. My wonderful parents are moving to the peach state.... Georgia. Yup, you read that right ATLANTA, GEORGIA. They are going to be living in the Bible belt. Exciting right? yeah no. The only plus is that I will get to go "home" to a warm vacation spot! It will be a very different life down there. Maybe they can set Kelsey up with a Georgia cowboy that plays basketball and has a accent. just kidding :) They will be missed more then they even know. It took my mom 28 years to want to come back to Utah and she fell in love with it.. but this lady can make friends faster then I can walk. She will be the biggest blessing to the people in Georgia.
Thanksgiving in quickly approaching and I cant wait to spend time with my wonderful family. It will be the last thanksgiving in my parents wonderful home in Alpine, Very mixed emotions.
